Specialising in proving a wide range of services to private clients, corporations, HNW individuals and financial services professionalsacross the UK and have been supporting their clients for over 30 years with their financial planning and investment needs.The OpportunityDue to growth, this company have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Paraplanner Manager to join the team and become a vital part of the organisation. This is a homebased role with occasional travel to Bristol required.Manage, train and develop a team of Paraplanners providing report writing and research activities to our Advisers and clients. The Paraplanning Manager needs to ensure that all compliance standards are met and help the production of management informationand accurate processing of business.Duties: Undertake KPI/objective checking across the Paraplanning team Ensure that all Department, Compliance and Company procedures are met, trained, fully understood Involvement in additional projects / activities outside of running a paraplanning team. Monitor workload and support levels, distributing work where required. Train and monitor new employees and to ensure their sign off as competent within agreed timescales. Implement the companys Annual Performance Reviews and Objective setting processRegulatory Responsibilities (Compliance/T&C) As an approved person you must accept responsibility and demonstrate an understanding for the regulatory aspects and framework of the FCA controlled function that you perform, and ensure you meet and abide by the rules of the FCAs fit and proper test,and comply with the FCAs Statements of Principle and the Code of Practice. Additionally you must ensure your compliance with all internal policies, procedures and standards.Qualifications required Minimum of Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning (CII) or Diploma in Financial Planning.Skills and Attributes Understanding of the Financial Planning process, including any Paraplanning departments processes and procedures, and ensure that these are followed in all instances. Strong leadership/ management experience Ability to work within defined business processes and to achieve agreed outcomes without supervision. Ability to multi-task and to prioritise and plan own and teams workload. Its desirable to have strong IT skills in Word and Excel as well as in a range of in-house and 3 rd party software tools, such as IO /Xplan, Financial Express Analytics, O&M Pension Profiler. Good report writing skills.
