Job Description

Panel WirerPackage and Hours0800-1600 Monday to Friday 37.5 Hrs per week (30 min break per day)Hourly rate of £15 per hour. Overtime paid at 1.5 for hours worked over 37.5Pension 5% matched contribution33 days annual holiday inclusive of bank holidaysOpportunities for progressionExpected start date: 08/07/2020Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £15.00 /hourNEW COMPANY - NEW ROLE - NEW BEGINNINGS!Despite all the doom and gloom, its exciting times for my client who is seeking to recruit a highly skilled Panel Wirer to join their business located within the B25 postcode area.The successful candidate will be working as part of the assembly team and be responsible for electrical / panel and panel wiring for all products in the company catalogue ranging from general wiring to control and distribution panels.Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience in Panel Wiring is essential.
  • Previous experience within electrical assembly.
  • PLC fault finding desirable.
  • 18th Edition Qualified is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to read and work from Diagrams, especially schematic diagrams
  • Wiring and assembly of components to produce compressor units up to control cabinets and panels etc
  • Crimping, looming and cable terminating work on control panels
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematic wiring accordingly
  • General fitting work
  • Use of hand tools and power tools
  • Harness and loom manufacture Essential requirements for the Panel Wirer
  • Experience with general point to point wiring
  • Cable end termination experience (Crimping/soldering)
  • Ability to understand and manufacture to GA and schematic drawings
  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • Basic software skills would be beneficial
  • Qualifications/Skills & Experience
  • Harness Manufacturing experience
  • Manufacturing to IPC Class 3 standard
  • Control Panel wiring experience
  • Prototype and development wiring experience
  • Basic testing experience
  • Ability to down train to lower skilled colleagues in a "Buddy system" set up
  • Ability to act as standalone operator on any given project
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Direct from the Line Manager - skills & experience - predominantly panel build and wire for high power applications.
