Job Description

Packaging Area Sales Manager Midlands/NorthWe are proud to be working with an exciting fast-moving organisation focused on building an outstanding team.This a great opportunity to join a team of creative-thinking, customer-focused, & career-driven individuals who are team players and know how to work hard and have fun too.Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for growing your territory, through existing accounts but with the focus being on opening new customer accounts.You will be responsible for:

  • Making sales calls to new and existing clients
  • Generating and qualifying leads
  • Sourcing and developing client referrals
  • Preparing sales action plans and strategies
  • Developing and maintaining a customer database
  • Maintaining sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Developing and maintaining sales and promotional materials
  • Supporting the marketing department in planning and conducting direct marketing activities
  • Negotiate deals with prospects and customers, which comply with the above responsibilities
  • Develop sales proposals
  • Prepare and present sales contracts
  • Conduct product training to prospects and customers
  • Conduct product training to colleagues if / when required
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
  • Follow up on sales activity
  • Follow-up and perform quality checks on product and service delivery
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
  • Carry out market research and surveys
  • Participate in sales events
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development
  • Participate in training being internal or external i.e. by suppliers
  • Experienced required:
  • Packing industry experience
  • Exceptional knowledge of digital sales platforms
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets
  • Exceptional experience in making presentations
  • Superior knowledge of principles and practices of sales
  • Key Skills and Competencies required:
