Job Description

Job DescriptionMultiple award-winning financial services business, and recently voted within the UKs top 20 FinTechs are looking to expand their Risk function with the addition of an Operational Risk Manager. The business is relatively young and are experiencing acceleratedgrowth due to a recent and significant acquisition. As a result, the environment is fast paced, with the role offering the successful candidate great exposure across all aspects of 2 nd line operational risk whilst playing an integral role in the design anddevelopment of the operational risk framework.The business operates a very flexible hybrid working policy with employees making a visit to the Milton Keynes or London office 1 - 2 days per week. Alongside the base salary, the role offers an excellent annual bonus and other financial and non-financialbenefits.Role responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the Operational Risk Framework (ORF) including related Second Line policies and procedures alongside the Operational Risk system
  • Supporting the Senior Operational Risk Manager in the development of the Operational Risk Assurance plan in liaison with the Head of Compliance and colleagues within the Compliance team
  • Undertake Control testing and Assurance reviews.
  • Working with the First Line of Defence to support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA).
  • Maintaining the Risk and incident reporting system and processes
  • Providing regular quantitative and qualitative input into the Operational Risk Reporting
  • Maintenance of the Risk Register.
  • Support the Senior Operational Risk Manager with regular deep-dive reviews of the Operational Risk profile.
  • Support the Senior Operational Risk Manager with Operational Risk scenario analysis across the business, to include input into the ICAAP and ILAAP.
Personal Attributes & Experience
  • Strong Operational Risk knowledge and experience including RCSAs, Controls, Risk and Incident reporting, Risk Register
  • Good, clear communicator
  • Ability to provide necessary challenge in a constructive manner.
  • Commercially focused
  • Strong team player
  • Focused upon delivering results and meeting deadlines.
