Job Description

Tructyre have an exciting opportunity available for an Operational Account Manager to join our Field Operations team.This role will support a large geographical area covering England, Scotland, and Wales and will require nationwide travel on occasions and suitable applicants must be prepared for overnight stays. Applicants who are based in the Midlands will have an advantage.What can an Operational Account Manager expectReporting to the Operations Director you will operationally support a portfolio of key accounts, working in partnership with one of our key manufacturer customers to support their heavy vehicle business.Delivering industry leading operational delivery techniques to allow us to maximise revenue and margin opportunities and customer satisfaction, within both Tructyre and our customer’s accounts.Your Key Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Accept full portfolio responsibilities for all operational activities, maintenance and support within your accounts and handle the day-to-day operational management of a manufacturer account.
  • Build, manage, and own the operational delivery for the account, ensuring all regional and technical activities are profit enhancing and deliverable for Tructyre
  • Maintain a contact strategy plan with Michelin to ensure all customers’ expectations are being managed operationally.
  • Manage stock profile and stock holding
  • Ensure fleet inspection programme is up to date and delivering on the KPI’s set within both businesses
  • Maintain effective and regular communication in line with a multi-level contact strategy including building strong relationships at Senior Level
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the Tructyre Regional and central structures. This should include (but are not limited to):-Commercial Key Account counterpart-Field Operations-Regional and Central Sales-Administration-Finance/Credit Control
  • Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and strive to maximise internal and external customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Identify issues and make recommendations for improvements in Operations or other customer supporting areas
  • Ensure fleet lists are checked monthly with the end user customer and any updates are completed in the relevant Tructyre systems
  • Keep the relevant local or central teams up to date with the agreed practices and processes associated with the Key Accounts. Ensure effective communication of operational performance, financial performance, and customer feedback/satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of large complex B2B organisations, preferably in the tyre industry, account management experience and be commercially aware with a thorough understanding of the marketplace we operate in and the influencesin the market.You will also have excellent communication and organisational skills and proven results in building high level internal and external stakeholder relationships.A Full and Valid UK driving licence is essential.At Tructyre we value our people and provide support and opportunities to help our colleagues succeed.
