Job Description

IP Secure EngineerLocation: Newbury/Birmingham -Hybrid/ *BlendedHours: 38.5 per week - Shift role working 2 days, then 2 nights followed by 4 days off rotation (7am-7pm and 7pm-7am)Safety Notice: To ensure candidate and employee safety, we are continuing with our virtual hiring and onboarding processes until further notice.Role purposeOperating within the Technology Operations Network Operations Centre, this role is responsible for reactive and pro-active fault management creation and resolution. The role will be responsible for fault diagnostics, fault localisation and resolution forall Secure IP and Data technologies and systems, The role will also provide opportunities to cross train on other technology areas such as Voice and Firewall.Responsibilities Professionally represent The Network Operations Centre in all day-to-day operations. Proactively and reactively monitor secure customer networks to identify fault occurrences. Ensure technical and managerial escalation completed to defined timescales. Test and liaise with customers and other internal or external agencies and third parties. Ensure overall adherence to quality procedures and working processes. Ensure awareness of SLA agreements, and perform all ticket actions in timescales to support SLA success.Who are we looking for

  • Excellent working understanding of IP & Data technologies, networks & solutions (Cisco, Alcatel , Juniper)
  • Ability to develop capability of working across technologies
  • Proven track record in network management & troubleshooting
  • Excellent understanding of Global Telecoms infrastructure including 24 x7 x 365 environment
  • Experienced at working with multiple third-party network providers and equipment vendors.
  • Able to communicate at appropriate levels of target audience on both Technical & non-Technical (including process activities).
  • CCNA or CCNP, JNCIA- Juniper Qualification qualified is desirable
  • Nice to have working knowledge of Firewalls (CiscoASA, Fortigate, Juniper SRX), Load balancers (F5) and Proxy Servers (Bluecoat)
  • SC Clearance or eligible to apply is a must. 5 Years minimal within the UK.
