Your new roleAs a National Technology Relationship Manager (NTRM) you will be supporting Operations on behalf of Digital Services (formally IT). You will be responsible for managing the Operational Technology at a Regional Operations Centre (ROC) and looking to continuallyimprove capability to ensure delivery of operational functions. You will be part of a National team of NTRMS and Configuration Managers, developing ideas for exploiting and improving existing technology as well as supporting the National Control Room TechnologyCoordinator in the consistent coordination and introduction of systems, ideas and improvements.Please note this role will be required to work on a 24/7/365 on call shift support service and will require some travel nationally at short notice.Also, Digital Services are currently undergoing a workforce transformation which may lead to changes in the NTRM role going forward.This is a fixed term contract for 12-18 months.What youll be leading on (Max 5)Be a single point of contact for stakeholders in relation to operational technology functions, processes and improvements.Actively manage, attend and coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of technology being rolled out into the operational environment, including new roadside technology assets, software upgrades and operational systems upgrades.Validate any local requirements for continuous improvement opportunities presented by operations.Collect and submit regional views/impact analysis that will support the National Control Room Technology Coordinator in their work to formulate position statements on behalf of teams delivering work.Supporting the national and leading on the regional delivery of major technology upgrades and transformations as such CHARM (Common Highways Agency Rikswaterstaat Model), SVD (Stopped Vehicle Defection) and many more.To be successfulProficiency in a range of office software products to enable production and maintenance of a range of complex documents; spreadsheets and management reports.Experience of managing and providing support to operational resources during major incident and events.Experience of working in 24/7 operational control room environmentsSkills in incident and problem managementAble to manage changes to service, configuration items, organisational change, and supplier change and associated documentationAbility and experience in coordinating the response to incident reports, ensuring relevant prioritisation and detail to allow effective investigationDesirable: ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management qualificationA bit about usThe Information and Technology Directorate is a growing and vibrant team and there has never been a better time to join us as we go through our transformation programme.
