Reporting directly to the Head Logistics for the UK, the purpose of Driver Trainer Manager to develop and deliver quality driver training to new and existing drivers,core and agency ensuring that all the relevant learning outcomes are achieved. This is a national position working across multiple depots so a Company Car is provided.Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out driving assessments on all potential new drivers at interview stage
  • Delivering the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC) including the induction of all new drivers
  • Delivering any required refresher training
  • Ensuring drivers have a thorough understanding of company procedures
  • Carrying out periodic assessments of all drivers and identifying training needs
  • Maintaining robust and accurate training records
  • Health and safety and safe systems of work.
  • Road Transport working time regulations.
  • Vehicle telematics and other on-board systems.
  • Requirement to generate and complete structured management reports against business objectives and functional KPIs
  • Ensure good communication and working relationships with drivers and managers are maintained.
Salary InformationGuaranteed minimum hours per month - 173 hours (40 hours per week)Working week - Monday to Friday.Basic Salary £42,000 per annum. £47,000 per annum including 12% discretionary annual bonusCompany Benefits

QualificationsMandatory Skills & QualificationsYou must hold LGV1 (C+E) driving licence with no bans or no more than 6 active penalty points (this can only be for 2 x 3 point offences) and a current Drivers CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, an ADR class 2 in tanks and DFT Authorised InstructorPreferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Drive & Survive accredited trainer
  • Cylinder Operations Experience
  • HIAB Operators licence
  • Experience using MS Office including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to understand and provider leadership to achieve
  • Training managerial experience
