Job Description

Our client, an international Creative Design company, is actively seeking a proactive, dedicated and ambitious National Account Manager to support, manage and expand a portfolio of existing customers and generate new business by identifying opportunitieswithin the customer base.Reporting to the Sales Manager and working remotely, duties to include:

  • Account management of existing clients by proactively seeking ways to maintain and increase sales and margin.
  • Advise clients on the design process and provide feedback to the company’s design team.
  • Completing tenders and communicating within all areas of the customers business
  • Operate a comprehensive call cycle, incorporating visiting your top spending accounts, new leads and potential sales opportunities within an agreed timescale.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success.
  • Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met and ensuring brand consistency.
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment.
  • Negotiate contracts whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction ratings, according to company standards.
  • Liaise with Sales and Marketing departments to set, implement strategies for new products and ensure full compliance on all sales, promotional and marketing activity.
  • Participation in all staff training, team meetings and all company events
  • Collect and analyse sales data and trends, stay up to date with internal and external developments and suggest new ways to increase sales.
  • Monthly one on one meetings and quarterly appraisals to review and discuss performance and individual development plans.
  • Attend and present at local & national Trade Shows.
  • Buying responsibilities on core product lines.
  • As a remote worker, ensure contact is maintained with the office-based teams.
Ideally the successful candidate will have prior experience within an account management role, with a creative flair and a background in the design Industry I.e.: Interior, homeware or floral design could be beneficial. Excellent Customer Service skillsare key and experience negotiating with large blue-chip companies would be desirable. You will also display exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities together with the ability to work independently and professionally whilst out in the field.
