Job Description

Job Title:Mobile Transport Refrigeration EngineerSalary: Competitive Salary + Significant Overtime Earning OpportunityLocation:Varied: - Birmingham- MidlandsJob type:Full Time + Weekend RotaWho we are:VMS (Fleet Management) Ltd is a forward thinking fleet management and contract hire company with facilities throughout the UK. VMS provides a range of services to both blue chip and SME fleet operators and Insurance companies including contract hire, flexi hire, accident management repair and maintenance and fleet disposal and sales services.VMS have built a strong, dynamic client base and pride ourselves on customer retention. Customer service and client focus are paramount to the business.The Role:

  • Responsibility for routine servicing and repairs as required, mechanical fault finding, electrics and all other duties associated with this role.
  • Completing all work assigned daily, ensuring that adherence to company and manufacturer standards and agreed time constraints.
  • Ensuring that work is always to the highest standard, seeking to achieve consistently high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Maintain levels of stock on the van to agreed specification.
  • Able to prioritise and organise workload to achieve set deadlines and KPIs
  • Maintain good working relationship with clients.
    • Skills and Experience:
  • Be qualified to F-Gas Cat 1 or prepared to gain qualification.
  • Have a full driving licence.
  • Be an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player.
  • Have previous experience of working on transport refrigeration units.
  • Work to high levels of efficiency and productivity on own and as part of a team.
  • Have experience of working on refrigerated commercial vehicles, ideally Mercedes Benz, Ford, Fiat, Volkswagen and Isuzu.
    • Experience:
  • Transport Refrigeration Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
    • Licence:
  • F-Gas Cat 1 (Required)
