Job Description

MIS Data Manager - Midlands required by one of the largest multi-academy trusts in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a ground-breaking global movement and a group of charities and social enterprises that have over 55 community hubs across11 countries! Our client have around 100 IT professionals over 55 different locations and have recently invested over 3 million pounds into new modern IT systems consisting of Microsoft and Cisco. Our client is undergoing a centralisation of their core systemsand are looking for a MIS Data Manager to be based out of the Midlands.The successful person will need to have a car and driving licence and be willing to travel to various academies within the Birmingham area. The time spent between vising all of the academies in Birmingham is equally split.The MIS Data Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data within the academies in the cluster
  • Carry out a range of data management functions to support school leaders and teachers to take informed actions
  • Work on exciting data management improvement projects ensuring all academies follow best practice.
Key skills and Experience
  • Must have experience of MIS/Management Information System or School Information Management System.
  • Must have experience of working in at least one MIS system such as Bromcom or Capita SIMS (can be any type of MIS system)
  • Must have experience of working across all aspects of an MIS system including configuration of modules, MIS systems administration, providing training in MIS, regulatory and legislative framework, compliance, delivery of projects in MIS, provide reporting,problems with MIS, security of MIS platform including assisting in the management of user account permissions and access in accordance with GDPR best practice.
  • Must be data driven and have a passion for data and numbers. A passion for MS Excel is very important.
