Mid-Level SQL Server DBA£35,000 to £45,000 DOE + Benefits Remote, UKThe RoleDo you possess 2+ years DBA experience, a can-do attitude, and excellent client-facing skills. If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.WellData is seeking a motivated and talented Mid-Level Production SQL Server DBA to join its expert team in supporting its ever-expanding customer base. You will be working across multiple customers, providing diversity in your work, and giving you an opportunityto work with the latest SQL Server features and environments, both on premise and in the cloud.On-going training for the successful candidate will be provided via the Microsoft Certification Program and Pluralsight. WellData is extremely keen for all staff to undertake continuous career development and will support you in your learning throughoutyour career.Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of a Mid-Level SQL Server DBA include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with SQL Server features and environments, both on-prem and cloud-based
  • Manage SQL Server databases.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Monitor systems health and performance.
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
  • Analyse and resolve issues in real time.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.

The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Mid-level SQL Server DBA are:
  • 2+ Years DBA experience of administering Microsoft SQL Server in 24/7 production environments.
  • Confident with all aspects of database maintenance.
  • Able to monitor/troubleshoot/resolve database issues.
  • Experienced with provisioning and configuring SQL Server instances.
  • Good performance tuning skills.
  • Experienced with SQL Server high availability & disaster recovery technologies
  • Confident with all aspects of SQL Server security.
  • Working Knowledge of using T-SQL.
  • Have excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
