Microscopy Sales Account Manager Location - Midlands (Field Based)Salary - £35-45K base plus uncapped commission schemeWe are seeking a Microscopy Sales Account Manager for applied microscopes in the Midlands region to join one of the UK’s leading microscope specialists representing a diverse range of cutting-edge brands. The successful candidate will play a pivotalrole in boosting the company’s presence and sales in the materials science market (industry, academia, and materials science research).If you have a passion for microscopy and enjoy demonstrating a very diverse range of microscopy and imaging equipment, as well as organising and attending roadshows and exhibitions, we encourage you to apply for this position today.What we’re looking for…Experience selling scientific capital equipment:- Candidates should have a track record of sales experience, preferably in the context of scientific capital goods.- Familiarity with the industrial sector is highly desirable, as it helps in understanding the specific needs and challenges of customers in this industry.Knowledge of MicroscopesCandidates should possess practical knowledge and skills related to optical microscopes or related equipment. This could include:-Understanding how optical microscopes work.-Familiarity with various types of optical microscopy techniques-Knowledge of materials analysis techniques, which might involve using optical metrology for measurements.-The ability to explain and demonstrate the use of such equipment to potential customers.Materials Science Background (Materials analysis)- A background in materials science will be highly beneficial. This knowledge is likely necessary to understand the products being sold and to communicate effectively with customers in the field.In addition to these specific requirements, soft skills and attributes such as excellent communication skills, a customer-centric approach and problem-solving abilities are highly desirable to be successful in the role. Moreover, the ability to stay updatedwith the latest advancements in materials science and microscopy technology is crucial for success in this field.
