Job Description

Job Title: French Teacher Location: Perry Beeches, Birmingham Contract Type: Long-term to Permanent Starting Date: September 2023 We are seeking a talented and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational institution located in the Perry Beeches area of Birmingham. As a French Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, fostering a lovefor the French language and culture. This position offers a long-term opportunity with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and fit.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive French language lessons for students at various levels, ranging from beginner to advanced.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a passion for French language learning.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, ensuring students progress and success.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to facilitate their growth and improvement.
  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that align with the curriculum guidelines and educational standards.
  • Incorporate cultural elements into the lessons to enhance students understanding and appreciation of the French culture.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, develop innovative teaching materials, and contribute to a cohesive and supportive faculty team.
  • Maintain accurate records of students attendance, grades, and academic progress, and effectively communicate this information to parents or guardians.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in language teaching methodologies and integrate relevant technology tools into the classroom.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide events as required.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • A bachelors degree in French, Modern Languages, Education, or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching French to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Excellent command of the French language, both written and spoken, with a deep understanding of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current educational trends and best practices in language teaching.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technology for language instruction.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate student records.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced educational setting.
