Job Description

The Recruitment GroupMET Technician (Mechanical, Electrical and Trim) - £13ph - £16ph (Overtime 1.25x) - BirminghamMonday - Friday, 7am - 4pmThe Recruitment Group is currently recruiting for a MET Technician working on behalf of our client who is an accident and repair centre based between Birmingham and Solihull.The key objective is to identify damaged mechanical and electrical components in vehicles.Main Responsibilities

  • Provide quality mechanical, electrical, and trim vehicle repairs, as well as glasswork, wheel alignment, and suspension.
  • Strip and refit a variety of different vehicles of all makes and models.
  • Inspect and fault-find on vehicles.
  • Conduct mechanical and bodywork jobs on vehicles.
  • Ensure the correct parts are ordered into the depot.
  • Liaise with customers.
  • After carrying out the mechanical and electrical work, ensure the vehicle is road safe and complies with health and safety regulations.
The Candidate
  • ATA/NVQ qualified.
  • Previous experience in a vehicle repair environment as a MET Technician.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers about their vehicle.
  • Full UK driving licence.
