As an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with appropriate specialist training and section 12(2) approval, as Medical Director, you get to provide medical leadership for a cluster of small local hospitals for the UKs leading independent provider of mental health care services, based around Birmingham.Do you want to work with a highly-skilled, established, and stable senior management team to play an active role in clinical governance, business development activities and work closely with them to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance and standards of carePerhaps you enjoy actively leading and managing the recruitment, revalidation, and appraisal of doctors to drive continuous improvement in medical and professional practiceOr in your current role, you may be frustrated to not have the required resources to make a real differenceIf you have answered yes to any of these questions, then this is worth exploring.Operia is representing a world-renowned and the UKs leading independent provider of mental health care services to search for and headhunt a Medical Director to medically lead their delivery of active rehabilitation and recovery for adults with mental illnesses, addiction, and personality disorders.In this role, you will still be responsible for your own acute clinical caseload, in addition to medically leading the team across 4 rehabilitation and recovery services. You will have your own office and ample admin support, a dedicated Speciality Doctor to support your clinical duties and the main site also has a Junior Doctor based there 24/7.To apply, you will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant area of Psychiatry and be section 12(2) approved. You will have extensive clinical experience of working within inpatient settings with patients suffering significant mental health difficulties and have proven ability to develop healthcare policy and manage both people and budgets.
