Is innovative Mechanical Design / Mechanical Engineering in your DNA Using AutoCAD and Inventor, youll work independently, designing a host of products, large & small, used on some of the UKs largest Construction / Civil Engineering projects.BASIC SALARY: Up to £50,000BENEFITS:· 10% employer / 5% employee pension · Healthcare · 25 Days Holiday plus Bank HolidaysLOCATION:Youll split your time between working from home and offices in Burton-On-Trent & Manchester. We live and breathe great Mechanical Design which is why our clients work with us.To keep pace with the quickly changing nature of the construction & civil engineering sector, were looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who can jump on to a growing number of new product development projects.If you join us as a Mechanical Design Engineer youll be:· Producing highly accurate engineering manufacturing drawings that will deliver safe, strong and innovative products. · Validating your designs through the production of sound Structural Calculations and analytical models. · Managing CAD documentation and fabrication libraries. · Working hands-on at our Burton-on-Trent site to set-up and build test rigs to run load testing, etc.In short - youll be working on a wide variety of projects, ranging from short term, high volume designs to long-term complex projects. Youll be using all of your skills to pull together designs that could incorporate components using steel, aluminium, hydraulic components, wood, welded items and more.To be eligible for this role you MUST have previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer and:· Be highly proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Inventor · Be experienced in building analytical models, using RSTAB, TEKLA or similar, that demonstrate accurate structural design calculations including load paths for bends, weights, etc. · Produce drawings to a high standard that are accurate and can pass scrutiny by your peers. · Have the motivation / ability to work independently from home, engaging with colleagues, customers and suppliers as required.It would be ideal if you have a Mech Eng Degree or equivalent and have an understanding of fabrication and assembly, but above all were looking for someone with a genuine passion Design Engineering, who thrives by working on multiple projects and who loves to continually develop and invent.It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Mechanical Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Quality Engineer, Product Development Engineer, Application Design Engineer, Civil engineer, Construction, Civil Engineering, Welding, Fabrication, Rail, Cranes, Heavy Engineering, Steel Production Plant Equipment, Automated Warehousing, Shipyards.INTERESTED Please click apply.
