Rates of up to £12 per hour!Clean, modern environmentTemp-to-perm with overtime opportunitiesBased in Tyseley/ Garretts Green areaAre you an experienced mechanical assembler looking for a long-term positions Easily accessible from the areas of Castle Brom, Shard End and Yardley, this is a long-term opportunity for candidates with a background in semi-skilled engineering or sheet metalwork, is seeking two members of staff for an immediate start.This is a large, successful manufacturing plant with an excellent reputation in producing sheet metal projects for the HVAC and construction industries. They are seeking somebody on a long-term basis, with plenty of opportunity to work overtime both throughoutthe week and during the weekend. The mechanical assembler must come with a minimum of 12 months experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment or proven ability with a mechanical assembly/ fitting environmentDaily responsibilities will include:-- Proven ability to run and set a number of machine sets, ranging from brake presses, folding machines, lathes, rolling mills, bar presses, spin rivets, bandsaws and guillotines.- Experience in the use of measuring equipment, such as tapes, verniers and callipers- Knowledge of (and ideally some practical experience in) MIG and Arc welding- Able to read and replicate a number of complex technical drawings- Familiar with handling stainless & mild steel and aluminiumIn turn, the company will offer pay rates of £12 per hour for their mechanical assemblers . Overtime opportunities will be on offer for any hours completed over the weekend, resulting in a pay rate of time plus one half.In order to be successful in this position all applicants must possess the following:-Usage of hand tools such as ratchets, spanners, air-powered rivet guns etc- Confident in sub-assembly-Flexible approach to working hours-Ability to use hand measuring equipment on a daily basis-Ideally with a background in sheet metal work and handling steel and aluminium componentsIf you feel that you hold relevant experience for our Brake Press Setter Operator vacancy, please click below to apply.
