Job Description

Manual/CNC MachinistAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Manual/CNC Machinist based in Birmingham. The successful candidate will earn a negotiable salary, depending on experience.The candidate will work 37 hours per week and overtime if available. Normal working hours are 7:30-16:00 Monday- Thursday, with a half hour lunch break and Friday 7:30-12:30.Overtime hours if available would be 1 hour per day Monday to Thursday which would be paid at time and third, and 5 hours on a Saturday which would be paid at time and a half.Role Requirements

  • Experience on XYZ Proto TRACK CNC controls an advantage.
  • Must be experienced using manual lathes, millers, drillers, vertical & horizontal borers etc.
  • Must be able to work from engineering drawings and make parts to samples, working with most carbon steels.
  • Must be able to read micrometers, verniers etc.
Role Responsibilities
  • Operating industrial machinery, IE: lathes, millers, grinders, borers etc.
  • Using the CNC machine.
  • You must wear PPE.
