Job Description

RM Recruit are working with a fantastic Not for Profit organisation in Birmingham who are on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal in the production of management accounts, budgeting and forecastingprocess and maintaining strong relationships with budget holders and non finance personnel.Main duties include:

  • Preparation of management accounts with commentary
  • Annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting
  • Business partnering with key budget holders
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Working closely with the Finance Director in reporting key information
  • Prepayments and accruals
  • Posting journals
  • Ledger closedown
  • Advising budget holders to ensure they reach key milestones
  • Ensure financial controls are adhered to
  • Bank reconciliation
As the ideal candidate, you will possess strong management accounting experience ideally in the Not for Profit sector, however, candidates from outside of the sector will be considered. You will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) however, candidates whoare nearing the completion of their studies will be considered. You will be a confident communicator who possesses the technical ability to lead at month end whilst possessing key business partnering skills to forge and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.This role is a mixture of office and home working and our client offers a host of benefits including health care, private pension and ample flexibility.
