Job Description

Due to a strong period of organic growth, they are looking for multiple Maintenance Technicians to bolster their already experiencedengineering team working on both electrical & mechanical plant equipment.Client DetailsThis Birmingham based business are a leader in their field & supply into a varied customer base. As the Maintenance Technicianyou will be instrumental in ensuring their standards continue to reflect the industries to which they supply.DescriptionAs the Maintenance Technician you be will be working closely with other functions within the business in order to ensure they drive process & equipment efficiency. You will have reactive & preventative duties as part of your role, ensuring that the businesscan continue to improve & get more capacity from the site.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the repair, overhaul and attending breakdown situations, all within a continuous operating plant.
  • Assisting the Engineering Maintenance team leader to identify future maintenance requirements.
  • Have a proven background in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial process equipment to include, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatic and conveyors
  • Fault find on PLC Systems (Allan Bradley/Omron onsite)
Working Hours: Double Days (06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00) & Perm Nights (22:00-06:00) ProfileA Maintenance Engineer/Technician with experience within a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will also have the following:
  • Formally recognised Engineering qualifications/training (NVQ Level 3/C&G/HNC)
  • Experience working on pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors systems & injection moulding and blow moulding equipment
  • Ideally 17th/18th Edition trained
  • Strong H&S understanding
  • Good understanding of a CMMS system
Job OfferCirca £40,000 - £45,000 (Including Shift Allowance)
