Job Description

Maintenance ManagerSalary £50,000 + Bonus Field Based role North of the UK with travel and occasional overnight stays.Our client is an international quick-service restaurant operator, who have experienced rapid growth in the last few years within the UK. Focusing on an American-themed menu, this brand offers a quality product that is freshly made to order and fully customisable.There are plans to grow the brand further within the UK, making this a fantastic time to join the company as a Maintenance Manager for 50+ Sites across the Midlands and North of the UKThe Role

  • The role will involve the management through to resolution of some complex building, repair & maintenance issues and where necessary, appointing specialist advisors to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
  • In addition, a good understand of the workings of HVAC systems, grills, fryers and general kitchen equipment (both gas and electrical) is essential for the role.
  • The role will report to the Facilities Manager but work closely with other members of the Maintenance Team, Construction Team, Property Team, other Support functions and the Operations Team.
  • Work with current contractors to build strong relationships to ensure the highest levels of service and support is provided to the estate.
  • The role will be office & field based with flexibility in working hours to meet the requirements of the business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Minimise store closures, equipment downtime, and any maintenance related issues that can adversely affect trade.
  • To be responsible for all property fabric, systems, services and equipment serving the stores within your region.
  • To work with other departments and external suppliers to ensure all systems and processes are in place and in line with company property maintenance policies.
  • Promote best practice within the Property department and actively look to improve processes and procedures across the business
  • To regularly visit stores within the region and identify repairs and programmes of work to maintain the store to a high standard or repair.
  • Liaise with Stores and District Managers on resolving items of repair and delivering the capital investment programmes.
  • To work within clearly defined annual budgets and provide regular budget updates to the Facilities Manager.
  • To programme the small works capital investment projects by agreeing budget sign off with the Facilities Manager, agreeing suitable dates with Store and their District Managers.
  • Utilising CAFM system to identify trends in maintenance activity and spend within your estate and take necessary action.
  • Must understand the investment impact on a store P&L and be informed and considered in the decisions made affecting the stores P&L.
  • Adopt an approach of "continuous improvement" for maintenance to ensure we are adapting as the business evolves, and making the best use of improvements in technology, service provision and new techniques.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Preferably BIFM or MRICS qualified or similar FM related qualification. Minimum qualification foundation degree, HND or degree in facilities management, a related qualification in engineering, management or business studies.
  • Proven experience in Property Management, preferably from a large, multi-site food and beverage company environment.
  • Use of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system Access Maintain (ProNett)
  • Keeping abreast of developments in Health & Safety legislation/standards and implements statutory testing to ensure legal requirements are met and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.
