We’ll give you all the tools you need to thrive and help us to enhance our market standing and continue to operate at the forefront of the mail fulfilment market in Birmingham.Your RoleAs a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of our mailing machines and the quality of the mailing solutions.Seeking to enhance mailing turnaround times, you’ll also look to improve the percent of mailing sent on time. You’ll work across all departments, taking a hands-on approach to the operation of a varied fleet of paper enclosing machines.Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, your role will involve:- Working as part of the Production Team- Carrying out quality checks on each job- Maximising machine output- Ensuring requirements and daily production goals are met- Supporting and helping to maintain a clean and safe working environmentAbout YouTo be considered as a Machine Operator, you will need:- A minimum of two years’ experience within a mail operations background- Previous experience of operating Kern and/or Buhrs machines- Strong communication skills- A team player mentality- A close attention to detail- An enthusiastic, motivated and flexible attitudeExperience or skills with any of the following would be beneficial to your application: guillotines, laminators, polywrap, Norpak, enclosing machine, MBO folder, camera matching, creaser, inkjetters, AMS, AJ 3800, M1 Printer, Ricoh, or Konica Minolta.Other organisations may call this role Machine Maintenance Engineer, Production Assistant, Production Operator, Mail Production Technician, Mail fulfilment Operator, Enclosing Operator, Print and Mail Machine Operator, or Print Operator.Webrecruit and bakergoodchild are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
