Job Description

We are recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to work for a fast paced and dynamic company based in Quinton between Birmingham and Halesowen. The company were formed in 1996 and are now part of a global company with office across Europe, the Americas and China.Salary: £22,000 - £24,000 per annum depending on experienceThis role is initially a 6-month contract but with a view to leading to a permanent position.The objective of the role is to provide full comprehensive support to the Manager to ensure that Stock is accurately and proactively managed and implemented to deliver tangible benefits to Suppliers.Main duties of the role:- Transport planning and liaising with Hauliers- Data analytics and problem solving- Proactively managing and resolving Help Desk queries- Receiving, allocating and scheduling of Supplier orders- Assist with guidance of Compliance Team visits- Focus on driving continuous improvement in the Supplier and wider networkThe successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Proactive, efficient, organised with the ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a Team and on own initiative
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great attention to detail with high levels of commitment in driving success
  • The need to be efficient, organised, hardworking, self-motivated, flexible, reliable, and adaptable
  • This role would be suited to someone who enjoys interacting with people and loves solving issues and is able to maintain a professional manner under pressure.
  • Good standard of education in English (oral/written) and Mathematics
  • Microsoft Excel/Word/Powerpoint (Intermediate Level)
