Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a talented and passionate individual to fulfil the role of a Lead QA for my awesome client whose offices are based in Birmingham city centre. You should be passionate about the work you do and pride yourself in first class web experiences and have experience in testing high traffic, responsive web sites.Experience required and core responsibilities of the role:

  • You enjoy mentoring and leading QAs
  • Can facilitate, influence and guide discussions with technical stake holders at all levels
  • Identify and develop custom training for specific QA needs
  • Champion quality
  • Exposure to at least one core OOP. Preference for C# / .NET CORE
  • Cloud technologies, preferably Azure
  • Experience in creating, articulating and helping implement architecturally driven test strategies to cover both functional and non-functional testing, utilising automation and manual testing where appropriate
  • Excellent understanding and practical experience of testing practices & principles e.g. TDD, BDD, ATDD, performance, security
  • Have experience of microservices architectures
  • Experience in championing and improving QA processes within agile teams, through collaboration and by being a key influencer
  • Experience in implementing processes that enable teams to achieve Continuous Deployment and release with confidence
  • Automated test tools e.g. BDDify, ReSharper, NUnit, NCrunch
  • Exploratory testing tools e.g. Postman
  • Testing and development of cloud-native solutions
  • Continuous integration and deployment
  • Have worked in a strong agile environment
  • Software design patterns and principles e.g. SOLID
