Job Description

Lead Enterprise FacilitatorEntrepreneur ConsultingBirmingham£21,000 - £24,000 per annum+ paid sick leave after 6 months + 25 days holiday + 8 day statutory bankOur client is an award-winning social enterprise providing a range of innovative and impactful support and integration services for refugee andmigrant individuals.Job Purpose:To provide enterprise support to clients via one-to-one sessions and workshops for Pathways to Enterprising Futures Project and liaise/network with existing business support organisations to bridge the gap between the companys specialist advice and ongoingsupport.To comply with and understand company safeguarding policy and procedures and act where appropriate in relation to children and vulnerable groups regarding matters of safety, protection and wellbeing.The Pathways to Enterprising Futures project aims to support the launch, stabilisation and growth of local businesses by offering bespoke business advice and training as well as offering employability support alongside the Job Coach.Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with individual enterprises and with would-be entrepreneurs, to offercoaching, guidanceand support, in relation to aspectsof running a businesssuch as legislation and regulation, development of products or services,market research,marketing,cashflow management,premises, human resources and financing.
  • To deliver business triage sessions, fireside chats, digital and face-to-face coaching sessionsand to use mainstream channels and social media as needed to engage with the client group.
  • To signpost clients to inhouse training on our online learning platform, Moodle and to provide sessions using this platform.
  • To signpost entrepreneurs to specialist sources of support and assistance where neededand facilitate access to mainstream business support entry points to suit the entrepreneurs needs.
  • Tomaintain strong connections withexisting business support organisations,and initiatives,to ensure ease of access to relevant services and supportfor the entrepreneur.
  • To contribute towards monthly written reports,check-in calls when necessary.
  • To network both internally and externally to support the recruitment of learners.
  • To provide one to one sessions to clients (either digitally or face to face) offering enterprise information and guidance and signposting appropriately.
  • Manage caseload of clients.
  • To refer clients to the organisations online learning platform offering courses around entrepreneurship.
  • Provide training alongside the platform when needed.
  • To link business mentors to clients.
  • Record all service users details onto Salesforce (online system) to track their progress.
  • To complete all paperwork requirements in time for deadlines.
  • To liaise with external business support organisations to build a proficient working relationship.
  • To comply with all GDPR regulations.
  • To facilitate fireside chats and workshops (online).
  • Support client recruitment and local educational promotional activities.
  • Comply with all relevant organisation/partner policies and procedures.
  • To support with the onboarding of volunteers for the project.
  • Undertake such other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.
Person Specification:Essential
  • Experience of offering advice and guidance to service users in a previous role. Experience can include in a coaching, mentoring or advisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of how to help set up businesses including the legal requirements, business planning process as well as access to Bristol markets and supply chains.
  • Good familiarity with the business support and development environment in Birmingham and their combined authority areas
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to work across different cultures and communities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload of entrepreneurs.
Desirable
  • Demonstratable experience of setting up and running a business in the U.K.
  • Knowledge of a community language(s)and/or lived experience of being a refugee.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with refugees/asylum seekers.
  • Understanding of the welfare benefits system.
  • Local knowledge of support networks, including specialist agencies providing services for refugees in Bristol or Birmingham and their combined authority areas.
  • Experience of utilising policies and procedures to ensure best practice principles are followed.
  • Understanding of working with people with complex/multiple needs.
  • Level 4 or above in IAG.
