Job Description

Job Summary This role will be recruited subject to contract award.Responsible for the direct line management of Coaches (Mentors) and the delivery of high quality and impactful CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance), mentoring and personalised wrap around support interventions besides monitoring,developing and continuously improving delivery.Work alongside AEB colleagues to ultimately secure excellent achievement rates and progress participants into and progress in sustainable employment and enter further education.Please note this is office based role Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs per week.Essential Job Duties

  • Manage delivery of all Coaches (Mentors) against contractual KPIs and the Performance Support and Management Framework
  • Train the Coaches (Mentors) in methods of delivery to meet the requirements of the curriculum
  • Carry out high quality observations to improve delivery and take up of interventions
  • Provide high quality CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance), mentoring and mental health support/signposting
  • Deliver a range of personalised wrap around support interventions (1-2-1/groups) e.g. intensive job search, interview techniques, work tasters/trials, in-work etiquette, time management, team working, resilience, personal finances/better off calculations
  • Check Coach (Mentor) records are maintained, accurate and up to date
  • Ensure that the curriculum provides appropriate stretch and challenge for participants and is pitched at the right level
  • Develop resources and bespoke materials to meet the needs of learners and employers
  • Identify barriers to employment plus conduct and deliver key skills and other structured candidate development activities
  • Support learners (incl. ex-offenders, LLDD - learners with. learning difficulties or disabilities) into positive progression outcomes e.g. sustainable employment, further/higher education, in-work progression outcomes
  • Manage the candidate experience, gain commitment and overcome barriers to employment through successful delivery of development plans and the recruitment stages of the process towards job entry and sustainable employment
  • Tracking and providing effective in-work support (inc. tri-partite employer discussions) to learners entering employment e.g. phone check-ins, employability consultations, and support with work-related expenses (e.g. travel, tools)
  • Supporting learners who have gained employment to achieve in-work progression outcomes (e.g. increased salary/hours, and/or promotion)
  • Support learners in-person, remotely and/or via an outreach presence
  • Monitor participant engagement and course completion and progression rates in line with continuous improvement strategy
  • Use MIS (inc. ILR) data to track learner progress against the ILP and KPIs and address any trends towards shortfalls via one-to-ones, action plans etc.
  • Effective additional support provided for those with additional learning needs (e.g. LLDD, ESOL)
  • Champion good practice by identifying and sharing best practice across the organisation at team meetings, through CPD and one-to-one support of Coaches
  • Track/measure outcomes via learner and employer feedback/surveys informing continuous improvements
  • Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post.
  • To work flexibly as required, which may require some working during evenings and weekends.
  • Comply with all Maximus policies and procedures including all statutory responsibilities; including and not limited to Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Education and Experience Requirements Qualifications & Experience
  • L4 IAG Qualified (desirable)
  • Teaching Qualification (PTLLS or equivalent) (desirable)
  • English and maths to at least Functional Skills level 2 Individual Competencies
  • You will have previous experience of managing a team
  • Excellent understanding of the barriers unemployed job seekers faces in obtaining a new job
  • Knowledge of the skills/employability industry and delivering employability, skills and personal development training programmes.
  • Proven track record of working with the unemployed on programmes securing high levels of sustainable job outcomes
  • Experience of deploying motivational strategies to develop individuals.
  • IT literate in using a range of Microsoft Office programmes to include 365 products and modern digital technologies, i.e. Microsoft Teams
  • A track record of supporting learners face-to-face and remotely
  • Experience of delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards
  • Experience of analysing and reporting on training needs and delivery using IT systems.
  • Drive and determination to achieve objectives and targets
  • Commitment to quality maintenance of company and customer records
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and experience of forging strong relationships with Internal & External Stakeholders.
