As a Laundry Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Keeping our residents’clothing looking and feeling great, you will be responsible for washing, drying, ironing and repairing items as needed. You will maintain linen stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Senior Housekeeper as you go. Safe, comfortable and welcoming,the environment you maintain will be testament to your brilliant eye for detail.Whether you’re folding/separating of linen/clothes ready to be returned to roomsor re-distribution of clothing to correct rooms, you’ll do so with a sense of kindness above anythingelse. You will take real pride in ensuring your work is always completed to the highest standard. You will enjoy creating and environment that’s well maintained, making sure our residents lives are longer, happier and healthier. We’re looking for someone with experience, ideally, although we’ll provide great training. You’ll also need excellent time management and organisational skills. Beyond that, it’s all about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get alongwith people. So you’ll be a brilliant communicator who’s as skilled at listening as giving instruction. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are requiredto attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas.
