Job Description

Land ReferencerBirmingham / hybridOur client is a leading property and land consultancy who operate across England and Wales employing more than 700 partners and staff. They have a legacy as a contributor to a sustainable future and they adopt business strategies and activities while protecting,sustaining, and enhancing human and natural resources now and for future generations.They are recruiting an enthusiastic and self-motivated Land Referencer into their Infrastructure hub in Birmingham. This is an opportunity to join the market leading infrastructure team and support some of the countrys biggest infrastructure schemes. Youwill be part of growing the land referencing team that has a substantial track record for delivering quality service.They are looking for a Land Referencing professional with experience in the industry who wants to grow as a consultant in a supportive environment, there will be amble opportunity to develop with the firm and to undertake continued professional development.Key responsibilities

  • Geo-referencing and digitising features from CAD and paper plans into ArcGIS.
  • Desktop and contact referencing of affected parties.
  • Data management, collection, interpretation, and analysing land data.
  • Inputting and maintaining data within the land system.
  • Verify and update relevant mapping layers.
  • Production of clear and accurate legal documentation such as, order plans, books of reference, notices, and schedules.
  • Site visits to conduct door knocking exercise and post notices.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with members of the public.
  • Attendance of client/stakeholder meetings.
Key qualifications and Experience required
  • Relevant Bachelors or masters degree in geography/planning.
  • Relevant work experience (1 year), ideally in the production of books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to rural and urban land referencing locations.
  • Must be competent GIS user (preferably ArcGIS) who is able to collect, interpret and use land ownership data in a variety of formats.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
