Job Description

Laboratory Project AdministratorBirmingham£8.72/hour37.5 hours per week over 5 days including SaturdayMy client is seeking an administrator to assist with the smooth operation of their laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Using Laboratory Instrument Management Software (LIMS) to create work sheets from testing schedules
  • Reporting results to clients via email
  • Answering telephone queries
  • Handling purchase orders
  • Other responsibilities may be given as the role develops
    • Prior work experience ins not essential however the ideal candidate should have:
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Strong IT abilities including excel, databases and email
  • Data handling skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast paced environment
    • As this role is supporting in the laboratory, a relevant qualification in a science subject would be advantageous but is not essential. This is a great entry level position for someone looking to gain experience within a scientific company.This is a 6 month contract initially, likely to lead to a permanent position Required skills
