Job Description

Are you a driven sales leader passionate about delivering resultsDo you have experience of mentoring and developing sales professionalsIf this sounds like you then we have just the opportunity for youHere at the Optionis Group we are looking to recruit a Key Account DirectorAs a key account director, you will manage a team of field based business development managers whilst also maintaining a reduced client portfolioThe Key Account Director will be responsible for driving referrals from a portfolio of up to 10 large national recruitment agency accounts, owning the strategy for each in terms of growth and profitability. They will have direct line management for fieldaccount managers and work closely with the internal key account managers and their team leader to ensure that the agreed contact strategy is carried out across all agencies in their portfolio.The Key Account Director will be a subject matter expert in our industry, having an in-depth knowledge of compliance and relevant legislation. They will network within industry organisations and their own accounts to ensure that Optionis, through their Parasoland Clearsky brands, becomes the partner of choice.The Key Account Director reports into the Sales Director and will give input into direction and strategy of the wider sales function. They will also be responsible on occasion for PSL tender activities with larger agencies or end clients.Role Profile:

  • In this role, you are home based with extensive travel throughout the country.
  • You will be accountable for the strategy of your accounts, in agreement with the Sales Director, as well as the execution thereof.
  • You will coach, support and manage a two field Account Managers and you will also direct the sales activity of a small team of internal account managers on a matrix management basis, and be accountable for their performance.
  • Ensure all team activity is reported on Salesforce.
  • Ensure all team and individual KPIs are hit.
  • You will own and maintain the strategic relationships within the accounts
  • Produce and agree account plans collaboratively with the team, including performance metrics
  • With the Sales Director,CSO and CEO, reviewing performance over the previous quarter and present account plans for the upcoming quarter .
  • You will run regular formal review meetings with the key stakeholders within the accounts.
  • You will drive activity and performance in line with the agreed account plan for your accounts.
  • You will work closely with Sales Leadership Team to provide regular insights and updates.
  • You will be accountable for the attainment of referral, new client and profit targets.
  • We expect you to stay abreast of macroeconomic events, relevant regulation legislation, and any matters impacting the recruitment and employment market in order to add value to our agency and end client partnerships.
  • You will have an excellent understanding of all the relevant products and services within the Optionis group (including but not limited to Umbrella, accountancy, CIS, PEO) to ensure you promote additional products where relevant.
  • The success of this role will be measured in terms of growth and profitability within your account portfolio. The KPIs will include meetings and workshops attended or delivered, satisfaction scores, and account plans.
  • Maintain and oversee account relationships at all levels
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Several years experience in an account management and sales role, preferably at senior level.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels up to C-suite
  • Ability to create,own and manage a strategic account plan based on growth and EBITDA.
  • Ability to motivate and manage a small team of key account managers to jointly achieve the targets for the key account portfolio.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of our industry and ability to stay up to date with applicable legislation and regulation.
