Job Description

Software Developer, JavaBirmingham, West Midlands - HybridJava, Spring, SQL, Postgres, Agile, Scrum, CI , CD, BirminghamSalary 50k with a heavily stacked benefist package. You will be expected to come in to the office once a fortnight.The Developer will have extensive skills in Java & Spring and you will be responsible for the design, developments and integration of their new cloud platform software features. The developer will be joining a team of highly skills developers and you will workon various new projects where you will work on the full development lifecycle. The Java Developer will come from a strong academic background with a Computer / Software related degree and will have at least 3-4 years plus development experience using Javatechnologies.Core skills & experience for this Java / Backend Developer

  • Java 8 or later with demonstrable and recent development experience using Spring / Spring boot
  • Experience of working with SQL and NoSQL databases, e.g. Postgres, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Experience of using Version Control Software, such as Git, GitHub, GitLab and similar products.
  • Agile / Scrum
  • Experience of CI/CD & TDD environments
  • Experience of applying software design principles, design patterns, test-driven development, SOLID principles, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability to produce high quality software and experience introducing new technologies to a platform.
Any experience of working with a large/enterprise-grade platform powered by a micro-services architecture would be advantageous.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced backend developer to be at the forefront of development in platform & portals.
