Job Description

IT Vendor Planning Lead - BirminghamSalary up to £59,300Hybrid working availableIT Vendor Planning Lead for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a IT Vendor Planning Lead to come on board to take charge of shaping and executing the clients IT vendor and sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain performanceand achieve IT and business goals. The position involves overseeing the complete supplier portfolio, securing optimal service agreements, and cultivating a supplier ecosystem that adds value to the clients IT landscape.Key skills and responsibilities,

  • Strong Vendor experience
  • Previous Planning/Vendor experience
  • Proven experience in commercial, partner, vendor, or supplier management within a dynamic major infrastructure program with multiple stakeholders, meeting governance, quality, and compliance criteria.
  • Familiarity with policy, legislative, regulatory, and operational limitations, and the ability to adapt technology accordingly.
  • Understanding of sourcing and procurement frameworks, as well as issues, risks, governance, compliance, and assurance.
  • Knowledge of SLAs and vendor contracts.
  • Insight into the business product environment and its influence on supplier contract management.
  • Track record of shaping IT vendor management and sourcing strategies using innovative commercial models for significant IT programs.
  • Experience in collaborative co-innovation with global IT vendors to enhance service quality
  • Craft and implement the clients IT vendor strategy to enhance supply chain performance and achieve IT and business objectives.
  • Take charge of ongoing vendor engagement and planning, aiming to simplify processes, reduce costs, and deliver greater value for the IT portfolio.
  • Manage the complete existing IT supplier portfolio, ensuring timely recommendations are presented to relevant forums for renewal, cessation, extension, or new demand.
  • Assume responsibility for the pipeline of new vendor demand in collaboration with IT stakeholders, offering recommendations for action when necessary.
  • Lead supplier segmentation and establish appropriate measures to oversee strategic and business-critical suppliers effectively.
  • Facilitate IT SLT discussions and provide advice on alternative sourcing models to simplify processes, lower costs, and enhance value for the client through third-party supplier relationships.
