Job Description

I am recruiting for an IT Support Desk Engineer to work for a warm and welcoming IT business based in Northeast Birmingham. This will require an experienced Customer Service individual with a technical background and will be hybrid working.Responsibilities/duties:

  • Logging and updating Support Tickets for Customer Issues
  • Escalating Support Ticket to senior members of the support desk
  • Remote support and maintenance across customers PCs
  • Analysing Calls
  • Repairing faulty laptops and PCs
For this position you will need the following Experience:
  • Must have 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Able to raise and update IT issues
  • Technical Knowledge
  • Customer focused skills
  • Microsoft Certification (desired)
Technical Knowledge that is required for the role:
  • Windows 10Installation, Configuration & Troubleshooting
  • Windows ServerActive Directory, Group Policy, Permissions etc
  • Microsoft 365Admin (Create Users, Assign Licenses, Mailbox Permissions etc) & Troubleshooting
  • Microsoft OfficeInstallation & Troubleshooting
  • Backup SolutionsConfiguration & Troubleshooting
  • Anti-VirusConfiguration & Troubleshooting
  • NetworkingTCPIP, DNS, DHCP, troubleshooting
  • Hyper-VAdmin & Troubleshooting (desirable)
  • WiFiUbiquiti (desirable)
  • FirewallsSonicWall (desirable)
  • SQL Management (desirable)
  • PowerShell (desirable)
Package:
  • Salary based on experience.
  • Full-time (8:30am till 5:30pm Monday to Friday)
  • Work Location: Office & Home
  • 20 Days Annual Leave + Statutory + Christmas Shutdown, increasing to a maximum of 26 Days + Birthday Leave (based on length of service)
