Job Description

My client is preparing to move its WAN technology from MPLS into SD-WAN. We are recruiting for a Lead NetworkEngineer with prior hands on experience of full migrations to SD-WAN to guide the organisation throughthe process of review, transition and implementation of this technology.Client Details

Description
  • Review existing RFP proposal documentation and perform due-diligence on 3rd party reports and findings.
  • Guide the firm to making an informed decision on the right design, technology and implementation of SD-WAN for its core network.
  • Together with the project team, run the network migration project from start to finish.
  • Work with the existing network team to ensure the WAN and local networks remain available and stable throughout the transition.
  • Provide training and guidance where necessary to complete a full handover at the end of the project.
Profile
  • Experience of Network management.
  • Prior experience of at least two SD-WAN migrations (essential).
  • Ideally certified to CCNP level for full experience of Routing and Switching.
  • Experience of managing and maintaining Cisco Catalyst 9k switches.
  • Experience of managing MPLS networks.
  • Experience in liaising with 3rd party WAN providers.
  • Highly professional approach being Self-motivated, inquisitive and methodical.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with other teams when
  • performing investigation and diagnosis of an issue.
  • Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Calm and capable of working under pressure.
  • Previous experience of working within a legal or professional services environment
  • (desirable).
  • Ability to effectively prioritise multiple tasks
  • Flexible and adaptable
