Job Description

A leading Law firm based in Birmingham are currently recruiting for an IT Administrator.

  • Taking incoming IT support calls and emails and logging, and prioritising calls and tasks in an IT Support desk System
  • Carry out 1st line support e.g., Windows and system password resets, providing guidance and assistance for Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat, MS Teams, Office 365 and commonly installed applications.
  • Carry out administration tasks, including software installs, maintenance and updates to ensure optimum maintenance of client PCs and laptops.
  • Carry out basic Active Directory account creation and administration including group management, profile creation and assigning access to network resources.
  • Manage creation and amending of mailboxes on Exchange 2016.
  • Management of O365 licences and applications assignments via MS portals.
  • Undertake email and web filtering support with Messagelabs and Barracuda Web filter.
  • Maintain and configure PC, printers and provide basic PC troubleshooting including peripheral equipment i.e., photocopying devices, to resolve user issues.
  • Install and configure IP telephones and perform basic telephone system administration tasks on the telephone system to ensure full operation is maintained.
  • Booking IT resources and meeting room set ups as required for webinars and meetings.
  • Install operating systems on PCs and configure BB default software for new users.
  • Agree, plan, and deliver any desk or user moves working with Facilities Department and providing physical moves of IT equipment and any network re-patching.
  • Perform IT inductions processes and basic systems training for new starters.
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to maintain and support both bespoke systems and leased hardware equipment.
  • Undertake tasks as directed by the Head of IT and IT Operations Officers to resolve queries and issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Report and escalate any issues that cant be resolved to ensure management of workflow
  • Assist in always keeping IT systems documentation up to date including asset recording and configuration recording
  • IT purchasing and quotes with suppliers
  • Take deliveries of IT equipment and maintain stock cupboards
