Job Description

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for Inventory and WMS processes for a fast moving operation based in Birmingham looking after a number of productsClient DetailsThe Inventory Manager will be working for a thriving 3pl based in Birmingham operating in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sectorDescription

  • Direct line management of stock team
  • Report into the General Manager
  • Be the key link between planning and operations to ensure a seamless action between processes and changes that may incur
  • Managing data entry across all systems-based platforms
  • A key point of contact for the senior team and customer in relation to both fluid and static inventory accuracy
  • Accountable for Inventory control across the entire site, meeting necessary operational requirements
  • To develop and deliver the inventory strategy, standardise and implement robust processes, and be responsible for ensuring all inventory policies and practices are adhered to and adopted throughout the organisation
  • Be responsible for rolling out a PI Audit programme throughout the network
  • Ensure best practice within the sites inventory team; through the implementation of new ways of working, robust SOPs
  • Undertake Root cause and trend analysis, then proactively educate the inventory and operational teams on issues that arise which could have been solved at source
Profile
  • Inventory experience - a minimum of 5+ years experience in Stock Control
  • Good understanding of e-comm distribution
  • Previous exposure to managing large scale inventory within Warehousing & Operations, ideally across a fast paced, complex product range
  • Past experience in delivering inventory process standardisation and improvements
  • A proven ability to operate at pace along with accepting an ever changing business landscape
  • A strong influencer across a range of key stakeholders, peers groups and larger operational teams
  • A competent user of Microsoft packages including Excel & WMS systems
Job OfferThe Inventory Manager will be looking for a salary between £40,000 and £50,000
