Job Description

Job:International Markets ManagerLocation:Birmingham (Hybrid)Salary:£40,000 - £45,000As the International Markets Manager, youll be at the heart of our ambitious plans. Your mission is to drive success by managing stakeholder relationships and engaging intermediaries in major international markets throughout the Commonwealth. This involvesraising awareness of the Inward Investment proposition, securing advocacy, and cultivating key partnerships to generate a pipeline of qualified investment projects.Key Responsibilities:

  • International Strategy Development:Collaborate on crafting an International Strategy, identifying market opportunities, key stakeholders, and activities to promote the regions investment proposition.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Lead international intermediary and stakeholder engagement, fostering relationships with Department for International Tradeposts, trade agencies, and London Embassies.
  • Business Development Support:Provide operational support to the Director of the West Midlands India Partnership, aligning with the objectives of the Birmingham 2022 B&T Programme.
  • In-Market Activation:Work closely with in-market representation partners and lead activations in Australia, Canada, the US, India, Singapore, and Malaysia.
  • Strategic Collaboration:Collaborate with partners, sponsors, and universities to leverage the international footprint for promoting inward investment opportunities.
  • Team Support:Work with the senior management team to ensure consistent achievement of contract objectives, providing flexible support to meet targets.
  • Marketing and Lead Generation:Undertake planned marketing and lead generation activities nationally and internationally to showcase the regional geography offer.
  • CRM Utilization:Efficiently use CRM systems to record, monitor, and refine business development strategies, ensuring optimal exploitation of business opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in international stakeholder engagement and business development.
  • Strong understanding of inward investment strategies and international markets.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence key partners.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing processes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support team objectives effectively.
