Job Description

Our client, a global innovative Technology business, is recruiting an Interim PMO/Project Lead to manage and oversee a team of Finance Analysts involved in supporting the separation of the organisations balance sheet as part of a new ERP system roll out.The role will report directly to the Transformation Lead, and ensure the separation project is well-coordinated, on schedule and within budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage project scope, risks, and deliverables to achievea smooth and efficient separation process.Location: Birmingham (hybrid working available)Contract length: 9 monthsCandidate Rate: £600-£800 per day (outside IR35) depending on level & experienceKey Responsibilities of the Interim PMO/Project Lead

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the balance sheet separation project, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives
  • Establish and manage the PMO function, including defining project governance, processes, and standards.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business unit heads, and external consultants, to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget tracking
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to the separation and develop mitigation plans to address them effectively
  • Allocate and manage project resources, including personnel, technology, and budget, to ensure project success
  • Monitor project deliverables and outcomes to ensure they meet predefined quality standards and objectives
  • Prepare regular status reports, presentations, and documentation to keep stakeholders informed of project progress
  • Develop and execute a change management strategy to minimise disruptions and ensure a smooth transition during the separation process
Essential Requirements of the Interim PMO/Project Lead
  • Degree in business, project management (Prince 2/Agile), or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or PMO Lead, preferably with experience in business separation or M&A projects
  • Experience working within a sizable and global business and working with a high number of stakeholders at varying levels
