Job Description

Interim Chief Accountant / Head of Finance| 6 months | Remote Working | Public SectorCastlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a reputable Local Authority to recruit an Interim Chief Accountant/ Head of Finance on an initial 6 month interim basis. This is an excellent role to join an organisation going through aperiod of change, and will be working remotely.

  • Leading a small Finance team and actingto support the Councils forward planning and financial strategy
  • Leading on councils statements of accounts
  • Supporting the development of effective financial strategies to ensure statutory financial duties are mets
  • Supporting the Corporate Management Team in ensuring that the Council maintains its financial stability and risks are identified
  • Leading and co-ordinating the production of the annual General Fund, Housing Revenue Account and Capital Programme budgets
The person;
  • CCAB/CIMA qualified, or equivalent with a strong technical skillset
  • Experience within Local Government Finance statement of accounts
