Job Description

ITG are on the hunt for a brand-new Infrastructure Engineer to join our ranks in 2021.As we continue to grow across all areas of the business during the pandemic, our teams are all working successfully remotely and having some great success! So, there is no better time to join us here at the Inspired Thinking Group.Our Infrastructure Team is responsible for all of the systems that drive revenue generation across the business. We support all aspects of selling and servicing our customers needs. This includes our eCommerce systems; the website and management systems that underpin the eCommerce platforms that we user ourselves or sell on to our customers. We are a tight knit team of professionals, working seamlessly with our colleagues in the Marketing and Commercial business functions in a fast paced, competitive environment.Works a Treat!

  • Demonstrable experience of designing and implementing high availability and scalable enterprise infrastructure solutions, that include -- Cloud hosting solutions (including hybrid integration)- Commercial of-the-shelf and bespoke build solutions- Unix and Windows environments- Applications and Databases- LAN and WAN networking- Web platforms, including caching, load balancing, CDNs and DNS- Cloud architecture patterns and deployment models- Infrastructure security patterns and techniques- Deployment of relational and non-relational databases- Deployment of integration platforms- Strong understanding of Active Directory- Day to day experience with DevOps tools (Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Docker, Git and Jira)
  • Has a deep understanding of infrastructure and cloud services, tools and best practices. Has worked extensively with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience working with Cloud Platform (GCP) would be an advantage
  • Demonstrable delivery of high-quality infrastructure designs and managing the sign-off of the designs with key stakeholders
  • Awareness of capabilities, pros/cons of the main IaaS offerings (particularly AWS)
  • Familiar with SDLC models, especially Agile methods and successfully driving improvements in this area. Experience working in a continuous delivery environment and embracing a DevOps culture
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server, Linux and their virtualisation architectures, system administration and configuration
