In-House Data Protection LawyerBirmingham (Hybrid)My client, a market-leading international Legal 500 law firm, are looking for an In-House Data Protection Lawyer to join their international in-house legal function that are in a position of immense growth.This role is rewarded with a highly competitive salary, private medical insurance, and agile working, with once a month in office. It presents an excellent opportunity for a Data Protection Lawyer to work with specialist market-leading data protection lawyers,with a wealth of experience and expertise behind them. You will gain exposure, and give advice on, a wide range of global data privacy and compliance matters.About the roleThis role will give the successful In-House Data Protection Lawyer the opportunity to work with an international in-house legal function. You will:- Provide technically astute advice on data protection and compliance documentation to external and internal stakeholders;- Assist with data subject rights requests and data protection risk assessments;- Draft, amend and negotiate on commercial agreements with a data focus.About youThe successful Data Protection Lawyer will be a U.K qualified lawyer with a minimum of two years post qualification experience, ideally having their ISEB certificate additionally. You will also have:- Excellent technical ability;- The ability to balance commercial ambitions with risk-sensitive advice; - Experience in supporting internal and external stakeholders in data protection matters, and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in doing so.You will be able to commute to their Birmingham office once a month.About the organisationThis multi-award winning UK Top 100 international law firm is purposed to provide excellent quality advice with market-leading expertise.
