We are looking now for a Freight Imports Customs Clerk to join the team in Great Barr in the West Midlands areaOur client was established in the Far East in 1950 and today has grown into a global organisation with worldwide presence in Asia, America and Europe, and is now one of the leading international providers of specialised transportation and logistics servicesin the world.The role will involve dealing with Trailer/Sea and Air freight forwarding movements although in the main a Trailer Freight imports service. Completing the full imports cycle you will take bookings, give quotations, customs entries, advising clientson expected arrival times, paying the liner / consol / Airline, organising the deliveries, invoicing clients, all aspects of imports movements We are looking for applying candidates to have Import operationsCustoms clearanceIT proficiencyExperience in Customs entries, Descartes E Customs systems, CNS/Destin8Knowledge of CDSExperience in various procedures, IPR/OPR/warehousingSalary £25,000 - £30,00020 days annual leave start plus bank holidaysCompany performance-based bonus after 1 yearPension 9-5 Mon-Fri1.5 x overtime
