Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Independent Domestic Violence Advocate - MARAC on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Birmingham. For further information about this position please apply.Job Title : Independent Domestic Violence Advocate - MARACHours: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 ( occasional out of hours working will be required )Salary: £29,269 - £31,364 per annumLocation: BirminghamIndustry: Domestic ViolenceKey Responsibilities:

  • Provide short term service to meet victims of Domestic Abuse needs.
  • Support and empower service users to facilitate their understands of the impacts of Domestic Violence
  • Represent the client at MARAC/ DRIVE meetings
  • Carry out risk assessments and safety planning with women fleeing DV.
Role Requirements:
  • Experience working within the Domestic Violence industry
  • Being confident to challenge other services within multi agency meetings.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Confident working with a multi agency team
