Job Description

Housing Litigation Associate (NQ-6PQE)BirminghamA rare opportunity has arisen for a Housing Litigation Solicitor to join one of the UKs leading specialist law practices based in Birmingham.This role is rewarded with a competitive salary, agile working, and career progression. It presents an excellent opportunity for a Housing Litigation Solicitor to join a highly successful, yet supportive, Birmingham team.About the roleThis role will give the successful Housing Litigation Solicitor the opportunity to work on a varied and interesting workload, including:

  • Anti-social behaviour injunctions;
  • Possession claims and proceedings i.e. tenancy fraud and illegal subletting;
  • Drafting witness statements;
  • Representing landlords in court.
About youThe ideal candidate will be a U.K qualified lawyer with at least six months of litigation experience.You will also ideally have:
  • Strong experience working within a litigation team;
  • Advised on housing litigation matters, including defending disrepair claims, possession, civil injunctions, defending EPA claims, ASB and fraud;
  • Experience of dealing with landlord and tenant matters, AST and/or leasehold matters to include forfeiture claims.
