Job Description

Highways Engineer - Birmingham My client, one of the UKs leading multidisciplinary consultancies, is looking for a Highway Engineer to join their team in Birmingham!They have a brilliant reputation, having been established for more than 80 years, and have worked on several of the most high-profile projects globally. My client offers specialist services within planning, architecture, and project management, working witha brilliant team of engineers, technicians, and other industry professionals within both private and public sectors.Responsibilities:You will be preparing scheme drawings all the way from feasibility design through to detailed designs, ensuring that all tasks are carried out within timescales, budgets, and deadlines. You will prepare and check both horizontal and vertical alignments in3D models and support the Project Team in designing Highway Schemes. The role involves co-ordinating the highway design process and integrating with other design disciplines within the multidisciplinary team. You will need to work alongside clients and stakeholderson technical aspects of projects and keep up to date with all methods and design guidelinesRequirements:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or the equivalent).
  • Excellent teamwork and communication, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to meet program and budget targets.
  • The ability to support project managers and senior engineers in delivering projects.
  • Previous experience within the field, including the preparation of drawings and reports.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
