Job Title: HGV Class 2 RORO Driver (Temporary)Location: BirminghamSalary: £14.00 - £15.00 per hourWorkchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Class 2 RORO Driver on behalf of our client. This temporary position is an excellent opportunity to join the dynamic and thriving driving industry in Birmingham.Monday to Friday starts vary 0400 - 0600.Key Responsibilities:- Safely operate a HGV Class 2 RORO vehicle, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation.- Conduct pre and post-shift vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.- Collect and transport waste/recycling materials from commercial and residential sites to designated locations.- Adhere to established schedules and delivery routes, ensuring timely and efficient service.- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing any queries or concerns.- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery reports.- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable at all times, both inside and out.- Adhere to health and safety regulations, actively promoting a safe working environment.Qualifications and Skills:- A valid HGV Class 2 license is essential.- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an HGV Class 2 RORO Driver.- Excellent driving skills, with a clear understanding of road safety regulations.- Strong communication and customer service skills.- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.- Knowledge of waste/recycling regulations and procedures is advantageous.- A professional and proactive approach to work, with strong attention to detail.- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings if required.If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for driving and possess the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
