Heating Design & Specification Engineer - Building Services Job Title: Heating Design & Specification Engineer - Building ServicesIndustry Sector: Building Services, District Heating, HIU’s, Heat Interface Units, Plant Rooms, Plant Room Design, Commercial Boilers, Domestic Boilers, Water Heaters, Heat Pumps, Interface Units, M&E Consultants, M&E Contractors, Engineers, Installers, Technical Services, Technical ServiceArea to be covered: National Remuneration: £40,000neg + bonus & comprehensive company benefitsThe role of the Heating Design & Specification Engineer - Building Services will involve:

  • Design & specification engineer position focused on delivering all technical pre-sale heating design expertise and specification support for domestic and semi commercial heating products such as: heat pumps, HIU’s and boilers
  • Working on industrial, commercial and residential projects, varying in size and scope
  • Dealing with engineers, M&E consultants, local authorities, installers and end users
  • Will assess project design concept and produce detailed systems packages
  • Will be responsible for the service / commissioning of products
  • Identify and develop technical services in support of business strategy
  • Working alongside and support the specification sales team, for when projects are won
  • Based from home and will focus on projects near you however will cover national
    • The ideal applicant will be Heating Design & Specification Engineer - Building Services with:
  • Must have experience in building services in a similar design / specification engineer role OR currently work as an application engineer / engineer / installer dealing with heating products looking to move into an internal position
  • Must have knowledge of technical heating products such as: boilers, plant rooms, heaters, interface units, HIU’s, district heating, heat pumps, renewable energy or valves
  • Must have knowledge of both domestic / semi commercial heating design standards and legislations
  • Must have a minimum of HNC/D in the building services sector
  • Ideally have in depth knowledge of heat pumps & HIU’s
  • Ideally have knowledge or worked with M&E software previously
