Job Description

A company with an innovative vision to educate and help ears of all ages, in a world full of noise.Local PCR are entering an exciting phase of business growth and are looking for a conscientious Hearing Care Assistant or Audiologist, dedicated to exemplary patient-care and developing their own clinical skills, to join our high-performing team as a MicroSuction Specialist.Working with us will allow you to immerse yourself in an exciting environment that engages and develops interests in clinical anatomy and physiology, the physics of sound and exciting new developments in hearing aid technology. This varied and multifacetedrole has developed into an essential and valued position within our growing Audiology business and is an important member of our busy, in-store hearing team.We offer you more time with your patients, the autonomy to manage your diary and the support and training required for you to continue to develop and grow. We have a fantastic team of professionals with a variety of experiences who support and learn fromeach other.Youll be a supporting the Local PCR team in getting involved with video Otoscopy, hearing assessments and ear wax removal. Youll have access to a fantastic range all the latest audiometric testing equipment.Role Requirements:

  • Competent within all areas of Microsuction
  • Capable of dealing with difficult cases e.g. narrow or sensitive ear canals, mastoid cavity clearances, keratosisobturans
  • Ability to clean directly off the eardrum with a fine end
  • To be self-driven and motivated to exceed in all clinical areas
  • To uphold company standards and live the vision, always
About You:
  • Entry requirements for the course are GCSE qualifications in both English and mathematics.
  • Level 2 NVQ (preferred if applying for Hearcare Assistant)
  • HCPC Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (if applying for Audiologist)
  • TympaHealthMicrosuction Training ideal, but not necessary
  • Passionate about ears, hearing and the human benefits of Audiology
  • Possess a clinical and commercial desire to develop professional competencies
  • Empathetic and patient-centric for the lifetime of the client relationship
  • Personal competencies: Down-to-earth, open-minded yet decisive, a leader and follower in equal measure.
