Head of ResourcingBirmingham - 3 days in the office and 2 days working from homeRate: £600 per day12 month contract Job Purpose BBV is delivering the c£6bn main civils works to Phase 1 of the HS2 programme from Royal Leamington Spa in the South to Lichfield in the North; including a spur into central Birmingham. This will involve extensive earthworks, tunnels, viaducts, associated works and is to be delivered over the next six years. The project will deliver £6bn revenue over its life cycle with c1,500 directly employed workforce and wider workforce of c7,500 including supply chain workers. The Head of Resourcing will be responsible for leading all aspects of resourcing activity for the BBV JV, sourcing candidates from both within our JV partners and the external market. Accountabilities · Accountable for the full end-to-end resourcing process for the BBV JV ensuring the best calibre of candidate is recruited and retained with the best possible candidate experience consistently achieved · In conjunction with the HR Director, own the creation and maintenance of a recruitment strategy which meets the requirements of the projects Diversity, Skills, Employment and Education Agenda · Ensure all JV Partners are engaged and informed and given equality of opportunity for all JV project roles, supporting them with information to enable workforce planning · Design and implement data and analysis dashboards to suggest enhancements to the recruitment and retention strategies and provide regular updates to key stakeholders Develop trusted relationships with a variety of key stakeholders to enhance the profile and reputation of recruitment across the partners * Review, maintain and continually improve procedures and tools for the effective delivery of recruitment * Deliver continuous improvements to service levels, selection tools, methodology and processes * Provide strategic recruitment advice to managers. * Ensure that all recruitment regulatory and legislative requirements are fully satisfied * Establish and proactively manage ongoing relationships with sourcing channels as appropriate such as recruitment agencies, on-line services, etc. and effectively manage and monitor third party supplier arrangements against agreed SLAs * Arrange and run recruitment campaigns, and other events e.g. recruitment fairs * Develop structured assessment tools to support managers during the selection process and develop a pipeline of candidates that will form part of future campaigns and hiring plans * Produce a monthly report to include market intelligence, sector dynamics and commentary on KPIs * To actively participate as a senior member of the HR Team, working collaboratively as part of the HR leadership team Experience · Experience of leading and developing a fully-fledged resourcing function in a fast-paced complex environment, ideally in JV, matrix or multi-employer environment · Strong track record of operational delivery and team development through best practice systems and processes · Experience in construction/engineering sector would be an advantage · Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment and navigate complex situations and stakeholder landscape · Strong stakeholder and relationship management · High levels of personal resilience and energy · Politically astute · Excellent communication and presentation skills.Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
